My friend Shay promised Hayley she would help her re-do her room. Paint .. the whole works. They got the paint (pink) a couple of weeks ago and Shay was scheduled to come over TODAY to help do that.

Hayley had a friend over last night. She got a *little* impatient waiting. With nothing better to do they decided to go ahead and take that job on themselves. Right. Themselves. Without my knowledge. I was in the house no less.
10 pm she comes in all excited .. "come see this surprise I did for you mom". I walk in .. unable to speak .. almost unable to stand. "SURPRISE!!". I wanted to cry.
Some highlights ...
* paint all over the baseboards ... will have to be painting over those
* paint all over the ceiling as well ... will have to be painting the ceiling too
* painted the window sill
* no need to remove any nails on the wall .. just paint right over those things
* also no need to remove any face plates on the wall .. just paint right over those things too.
* use mom's pyrex glass baking dish for the paint tray
* clean up is a breeze .. you leave the brushes in the paint can and then wrap the rollers and paint supplies up in a beach towel in the bathroom. Then walk away.
Done!
Two days of work has turned into two weeks of a nightmare to fix.
Someday I may be able to laugh at this. But for today .. there's not a smile to be found on my face.

Oh man. I would have died. It's not a bad shade of pink though. :)
oooh my gosh! Have her help ya with the fixing. :D That way, she can learn how to paint and the don'ts as well.
