Okay ... maybe I am learning some things about myself. Perhaps, just perhaps I am not as modest as I thought I was. A couple of posts back I said I am a pretty simple girl who just happened to have breast implants. My only splurge.
Right.
Forget I ever said that.
Do you know who Ed Hardy is? (http://http://www.donedhardy.com/about_us.html) Yeah, well .. if it's all the rage and I MUST HAVE IT TOO. So this hunt for Ed Hardy clothes had become quite the obsession. Nordstroms had a very small selection (when I say small .. I mean, one tshirt and one pair of jeans). I looked at the price tags (yes, for the first time). GASP .. SERIOUSLY ... $250 for ONE pair of jeans?? $100 for ONE TSHIRT. No wonder there was such a small selection ... I am sure they don't stock up on those for a reason. Then off to Macy's .. no luck - nothing there. The treasure hunt continued. Stein mart had an Ed Hardy dog bowl. King Soopers actually has an Ed Hardy coozie. Not quite what I was looking for.
BUT ta-da (can you hear the angels singing?) .... Allyson and I walked into TJMaxx the other day and manna fell from the sky. Ed Hardy .. and quite the selection. We walked out of there feeling pretty smug. And pretty vain. Granted, we didn't spend quite as much as we would have in Macy's or Dillards BUT I would say even $40 for one tshirt is quite extravagant.
My next purchase was a little larger.
BUT much more practical. WAY more. Right.
So I'll just say it. I traded my van for .... a .... BMW 330 xi. Silver. All the extras. All wheel drive. Did you read that practical piece of information?? ALL WHEEL DRIVE. Cause it snows here. A lot. What good is a van in snow? See .. a good sensible decision, right?
No more carpools for me. Hope no one needs a ride.
Is this what you call a mid life crisis? Wait, I'm not there yet ... wonder what those years will bring?
Honestly, Sean bought a new Harley last week. I think I was a bit jealous.

Nice! I am super jealous. Enjoy all of your purchases!
Too funny, we bought one car because we wanted an extra row for when people came to visit and then traded it because I didn't want to be the one shuttling all the kids around when they got older. Is that selfish?
You go Girl! You've earned every inch of that beauty!!
You know how when we see a really, really good looking cars and wonder who is driving it? And come to find out it's an OLD wrinkly man?
I wonder if guys do the same thing?? If so, then lucky for them.
You're probally a 'breath of fresh air'! lol
Niiiice. It was fun riding in your "beamer" the other day. I must admit though, I like the hoodie a lot better than the t-shirt. ;D
