A Target Marathon

I ran another race today. A different kind. The kind I will only do with my buddy Allyson. In a two hour time span, we hit five Target's.

Does it get any better than that?

I'll explain. Allyson found the perfect curtains. Bonus .. they were on clearance. Not such a bonus because clearance means you only find ONE panel for a great deal. What does that mean? We must must must find the other one. Surely in one of the Target's in the greater Denver area we could find the match. Surely.

First Target.. LUCK (sort of)... we did find the same curtains (two panels)- BUT in the shorter length. Got them because they could totally be sewed together to make a one long one. So the hunt continues .. we needed either one more long or two short.

Are you lost yet? Hang in there ...

Second Target. Lonetree. No luck at all. BUT no worries because we found the cutest shabby chic curtain for Allyson's daughter's room. Just ONE. No match. So now .. we are also looking for the match to THAT one too.

On to the third Target. Now we are on Arapahoe. Guess what? Another panel .. but a short one. Now all we needed was either one more SHORT one or one LONG one. No shabby chic match BUT BUT BUT ... a shower curtain on clearance that would also work in Morgan's room. Um, but only one of course.

Onward.

Parker south Target (#4). Guess what? DING DING DING .. the last short one. Oh and another shabby chic panel but this one doesn't match the first one .. so still on the hunt for now a match to either one of those. Also no match to the shower curtain. I know, you're lost now.

Parker #2 (fifth Target). No luck but found some cute jeans. And a cute shirt. Slight distraction. OH and the match to the shower curtain for Morgan's room.

ELATION. We found what we were looking for..

and then some. we weren't there for me .. but I made some purchases as well .. two jackets, a cute pumpkin for outside and a rug for under my dining room table. score!

(the loot piled in the back of Ally's escalade)....

Brought it all back to her house. Proud. Put the shower curtain's up in Morgan's room. Beautiful. Then to the window we searched for all those clearance curtains for. Seriously .. after ALL that - they didn't look good. Decided on curtains that are regular price that the Target here in Castle Rock has (in abundance). Morgan comes home. Looks at the curtains in her room. Hates them.

Some would say that was an unproductive and a waste of a day. To us .. it was a red sticker treasure hunt. I would do it all again tomorrow if given the chance.

But first we have to return ALL those unwanted curtains. We figure Target should pay us .. because of us, all of those clearance curtains are in ONE store. I'll let you know when the paycheck comes.

You do know you can have a target employee call the stores ahead of time...right? But what the heck, Allyson's gas money!

Yes, except for clearance items. We did have her look it up in all the surrounding Target's at the first store. The computer showed none of those curtains anywhere. Trust me .. covered ALL the bases!

There's nothing better than a successful shopping trip. Even if ends up actually not being successful.
