Finally ...

Jackson has finally given me some blog-worthy material.

This is one cool kid. He's good in school. As in he behaves. Which is a good thing .. because I have to put all my energy into making Eli behave in school. If I had to do it with Jackson too, someone would have to put me in a mental institution. I just wouldn't have energy for that x's two.

On a side note .. Jackson came home from school the other day and told me his science teacher (Eli and Jackson have the same science teacher .. as it's part of 'specials' in their school) approached him and asked him if Eli was his brother. When he told her yes, the teacher gave him a "weird" look. "Why would she look at me that way mom?". Well, that's because I am sure she can't believe the two boys actually come from the same family. Totally different little personalities.

So Jackson came home from school yesterday with two extra bags full of stuff. His class has been earning 'money' when they do good in school, complete work on time, turn in homework, etc. Well Jackson proudly announced he had the most money in the class topping out at $63,000. What did this do for him? Well, up for auction came a game cube with 6 games along with three xbox 360 games. All hands were raised. It was the coveted prize. Jackson clearly had it in the bag .. and walked away beaming with the loot.

I had no idea he was even earning 'money' nor that he had the most in class. It either didn't mean anything to him or he's not a bragger.

Before crawling into bed ... he looked at me and said "mom, this has been a perfect day". He melts my heart...

Being good pays off. Literally.

So that's great, but I am wondering where in the world money for a gamecube came from. Clearly NOT the school district since they can't even afford to send home copies of the lunch menu.

I'm just glad it went to a kid who clearly deserves it!

Oh .. the kids bring in stuff from their home they don't want anymore and they get to auction their own stuff off to their classmates. The gamecube kid was ONE popluar guy!!
