Meet the Fockers...

I mean, my parents.

This is my mom. She beautiful. Really .. I know she is. I don't look anything like her .. except I did get her height. We are the same build. She's a "little person".. that's what everyone else in the family calls the two of us. As we are the shortest by far. Everyone else got the legs .. the length ...



She is also very youthful looking. I won't say her exact age because I don't know if she would wring my neck for doing that publicly. I'd like to continue living. I am still scared of my mom. She pretty much follows through on threats. You don't want to get on the bad side of this woman - it wouldn't be pretty. I'll just say she's 29.

So I try to stay on the good side. She's got a good heart .. my mom. She's a great cook. She's awesome at keeping a clean house. I don't remember a time EVER growing up that our house looked like mine usually does. She home schooled my siblings on top of that. I am just not sure how she kept it all together ... all the time. She's a hard worker. She's not a quitter. I think I get my drive from her. Most importantly, she loves her kids. And her grand kids even more. I love her back.

And my pops. He's quiet. Reserved. Also youthful looking. Hard of hearing ... so the t.v. is ALWAYS up loud. He wears red. A lot. And plaid. When I think of my dad .. I think of a red plaid flannel shirt. I love my dad. He looks so harsh .. but he's really so gentle. He can fix anything. He's talented. In ways that are quiet. He never brags. He's a great singer and a musician. I don't know any instrument he can't play. Okay, so I've never seen him play the piano. Anyway, you wouldn't guess that just from looking at him.


They just celebrated their 28th anniversary. (pretty awesome huh .. for my mom being 29 and all)
