Linner

So Frank and Shay invited us over for "linner" today (lunch/dinner). I love these two. I love being around them ... they make me laugh. Shay is a fun friend. Seriously .. she'd do anything for anybody and not complain about it (unlike myself .. who will agree to do anything for anybody and bitch and moan about the entire time). She makes me laugh .. and her laugh is really the most contagious laugh you've ever heard. I'd like to bottle it... so when I'm alone and see something funny .. I can let it out and laugh with her. Then Frank .. well Frank is just an all around good guy. I've blogged about him in the past. Mostly he comes to my rescue when I screw up (which is a lot). He also is my music guy. He loads my Ipod with cool music whenever I need it. He knows EVERYTHING about music .. seriously .. EVERYTHING. For my bday he gave me a 23 cd set (yes, I really said 23 cd's) of 80's music. He hooks me up with all kinds of music ... actually I have learned to appreciate different types because of the variety of mixes he adds to my shuffle.

So tonight was a MUCH needed break. Lately I have played around with the idea of checking myself into a mental institution. After my evening out .. that plan doesn't seem so necessary. We ate a wonderful dinner. Watched a HILARIOUS show called the "Millionaire Club" and then I cuddled under a blanket and we watched the movie "Two Weeks Notice". Cute movie. The boys played downstairs with Jake the ENTIRE time. Only saw them when they needed a bathroom break.

All the while, Frank cleans up the kitchen .. brings us drinks and fresh blankets from the dryer... and makes some homemade popcorn. YES, there really are men out there like that. I think I even heard .. sit back for this one ... him asking Shay if she wanted her feet rubbed.

It was a good night .. with good buddies.

I'm a lucky girl.

And I'm not committing myself (just yet)
