I love to text. Everyone knows this. It's the best way to get in touch with me.
When I say everyone .. it includes Allyson's daughter Morgan. She's 8. And she's clever. As an 8 year old little girl can be. There have been several times in the past where she picks up her mother's cell phone and texts me. Actually, one time she actually posted a comment on my Facebook status. That was funny. She assumes her mother's identity when she does this.
For example a couple of weeks ago I get a text that pops up from Allyson that asks if I want to go shopping with her. WELL OF COURSE I DO. When? I ask. Reply "never". Then I got all freaked out that she was mad at me. Oh no .. it was Morgan getting her jollies. She got me.
Usually I can tell it's her because she signs her texts .. "love, Allyson" or "your best friend, Allyson". Typically .. not something you do when you text.
SO last night. A text pops up. From Allyson (?)...
"Hi friend what should we do this weekend shopping, swimming, and Hanging out your choice
Love ya,
Allyson"
OKAY .. because I am now smarter than I was two weeks ago, I don't fall for this. I was with the girls last night so we decided to have some fun ... here's how the rest of the conversation went:
me "lets play barbies"
her "to boring thats so Morgan's thing"
me "have you decided if you are going to give Morgan away to the gypsies?"
her "No!!!!!!!!!!!! Shes my daughter"
me "You can always get another one. You know .. those orphans in Africa"
Then there was silence. The next text was from Allyson herself saying she ran into the store and left her phone behind.
HA!
