March. It's here. Time for this month's resolution. I am so tired of trying to get in shape .. day after day of running, lifting weights, interval training. Then there's dieting. Puleeze... the more I try not to eat crap .. it just finds it's way into my mouth!
SO for this month .. I mean business. Serious business. I got the book Making the Cut by Jillian Michael's (Biggest Loser trainer). Read the entire thing in two days. Made the commitment. I'm gonna do this if it kills me! This is good for me to blog it as well because, once again, I have written it. I WILL do it!
Day #2 is almost over. I am way less excited after doing the circuit of exercises for two days. I read the book and thought "oh I am SO in shape already so this will be a piece of cake". Oh my. Oh my. Oh my. So wrong. It is totally kicking my hiney!! I am sore in places I didn't know could be sore. Yesterday it took me an hour to complete the circuits I was supposed to complete. She says in the book it should take 45 min. I figure the extra 15 min I spent was on the floor thinking I was going to die. Today was about the same .. in fact I found myself begging to run hills instead of that torture.
The meals aren't so bad. Just healthy eating but she gives a specific menu and recipes with it. The only major problem is the lack of sugar (none) on that menu. I live on sugar. Love it. I have dessert after breakfast. Not now. Even though that exercise is about to kill me .. honestly, the hardest part is not having that treat whenever I want it.
I am determined. I mean, really .. it's ONLY 30 days. Right? 28 now! Hayley reminded me that if those people on Survivor can do it then so can I. She's right .. except they don't have candy staring them in the face. I almost lost my mind today when Hayley came home from school to bake muffins for her snack. I had to leave the house!
Okay. I can do this. I can. I will. I sure as heck better be 'cut' like she claims when this is all over. I'll burn the book if not!

5 factor fitness diet. Check it out from the library. The work-out is only 30 minutes and did awesome things for me last year in just 6 weeks. I didn't follow the menu--because, well, hey, I can't say no to anything I want to eat and I figure I eat pretty healthy anyway + sugar--can't live without it. I loved the work-out plan. Good luck! I can't imagine you being out of shape.
You can do this Alana!! I'm cheering for you girlfriend!!
