On It!

It's April and that means ...

NO! apparently not spring in Colorado.

But for me it means a new month. A new resolution. I have been wanting to paint my family room for a long time. Didn't know the color or where to start. Thanks to my friends - I found the perfect color ... a golden yellow. Sara has this in her office/playroom and it's gorgeous! Allyson and I made the adventure out on Friday to get the paint and supplies (um and little unexpected shopping at the outlets .. I mean, it was so close to Home Depot. A shame not to stop and drop some money. A coach purse and a few outfits later.. )

So we made it to Home Depot and bought the paint and that night I got to work. I love love love the color on my walls in that room. It's so warm and inviting. Ally came over Sat and we slaved most the day to get it finished. Still undecided on what to do with the built in entertainment center.

Yesterday I begged my bud Shay to come over for some advice and her expert skills in taping. A few (or a lot) laughs and some time consuming work later ... WAIT - was it Sunday yesterday? Um, yeah. Totally forgot about that part. We didn't WORK. Did I say WORK? NO we wouldn't WORK on Sunday. NOR would we run errands to pick up extra supplies OR get a Pepsi ... THANKS SHAY!

I think I like to ramble. I'm rambling. When I should be painting. Someday this project will be finished.

But I've got all month right? (why did all my friends stop answering their phones??)
