Steve gave me the title to this post.

Who's Steve? Well, I don't really know him that well either. But he has the potential of saving my life. He's a lifeguard. At the pool I was at today. Guess it would mean he could only save my life if I were drowning. But hard to do when I don't actually get in the pool and splash around.


Why would Steve give me a title to my blog post?


It's complicated.


But funny.


This pool is Robin's pool. It holds fond memories for me. I should be paying to get in. $5 each trip ... but I do the non-honest thing and sneak my way in. One of the 'mean ladies' who work at the front desk actually asked if I were Robin's daughter once (you're kidding right??) .. I could do nothing but open my mouth and nod. We laughed like 10 year old girl's afterwards. But then Robin stopped laughing when we realized that's not FUNNY!!


So today ... was a day I needed some fun in the sun time.


What better way to spend that then with my buddies Robin and Shay. If there were ever a day I needed to laugh .. today was it. And I was SO not disappointed.


So about Steve. The pool was dead today. No one there but the three of us sun worshippers. Back to Steve. There was nothing for the poor boy to do .. but listen to the three Housewives of Castle Rock talk.

Everything was so freaking funny. I think we laughed the entire FIVE hours we sat there .. moving our lounge chairs to rotate around the sun.


Well .. it wasn't ALL funny. The part where Shay needed to apply sunscreen and she seriously splattered some of that white shit on my legs. THAT was NOT funny. I almost stopped breathing. Hyperventilated. Almost requiring Steve's assistance.


But I managed. And seeing that there's not an inch of my body that isn't completely fried from that five hour stay .. I'd say the splatter of sunscreen didn't hinder the sun's ability to bore right on through .. even in those two millimeter sized spots.


Steve was so accommodating. I informed him I wasn't planning on exercising today. He brought the trashcan closer to our side of the pool. He offered hot Egyptian cotton towels for us as we got out of the pool. At one point in time a helicopter flew overhead and he mentioned he summoned that for us.


Steve also thinks we should be famous. He wants to film us ... and our rantings ... and random acts of stupidity for the world to see. He actually would like to capitilize on that. I'm quite sure he's right. I'm quite sure we'd be great reality show material. Okay .. or maybe just good YouTube material.


There is a movie titled All About Steve. But ... today wasn't ALL about Steve.. just some.. just enough to make him famous on my blog. Because .. now THAT'S something...
