Michael's and khaki pants

Hayley finally has a job. She's been applying forever. Michael's called back.

This week was her first week.

BUT FIRST she had to get the 'uniform'. Khaki pants .. a polo shirt ... and black shoes. She had her orientation on the night before she started working. So this left her with about 2 hours to shop before stores started closing.

Jacob took her.

Wait .. gotta remind everyone that Hayley isn't the EASIEST child to please. Not by any stretch. She's also tall. Which means pants are hard to find ... long enough.

Back.

Get a call from Hayley an hour into her shopping ..

"mooommm ... I neeeed you to come get ... meeeeee"

"what's wrong with you and where are you, Hayley?"

"umm ... Jaaaacob iss beeeing soooo meeeeaaann to me. I'm in the Walllmmmarrrt parking lot. HE LEFT ME MOM! ... he kept walking fast ... he's so.. so.. so... meeeeeaaaaaaannnnnnn "

I get to the parking lot. She's crying. **And can you believe that out of the 8 stores she went in .. NO ONE HAD khaki pants she could wear.**

I took her to Target ("uh .. mom - WHY are we going to Target .. you REALLY think they're gonna have khaki pants??" .... oh no .. not at all .. a red shirt and khaki's are like the uniform for target employees .. no WAY would they have them)

They have about 4 different styles to choose from. She tries on all of these. I MAKE her come out of the dressing room to show me. "Perfect Hayley .. they look awesome .. let's go". Oh NO .. not that easy. There was something wrong with EVERY frickin' pair she put on. She was looking in some serious circus mirror and it was BEYOND annoying. I was completely frustrated.

As she says "you're even meaner than Jacob!!"

I told her to call him back.

Cause I left her.

Just for future reference-- Eddie Bauer carries tall sizes. I know they aren't super cool, but you might be able to find some there next time you're looking. and I promise, they're not all "mom jeans" they have actually stepped it up.
