I love getting older

Truly I do.... I feel like I'm in the best shape I've ever been .. that I'm not as stupid as I used to be .. (okay .. debatable) ... and I'm certainly much more relaxed than I've ever been...

This birthday has been pretty freaking awesome. I'm 37. And happy with that.

This was a good day to remember how lucky of a girl I am. To have the circle of friends that I do. They make me feel special, loved, appreciated .... all the warm fuzzies that make life complete.

I had lunch with my girls yesterday to celebrate. There's NOTHING BETTER than sitting around a table full of women who you absolutely adore. A-D-O-R-E. I love them and they love me back. It's such a fulfilling feeling.

My favorite gift ...

from Hayley. It's a gift card. In a tiny Nike shoe box. It's not really the gift card that makes it so wonderful. It's that Hayley put $50 on it. That was a third of her entire paycheck. Really shows how unselfish the girl is ... and I love her for that. I also want to believe that she REALLY TRULY loves me. Yeah, she does. And it's a freaking awesome feeling.

Oh .. okay .. AND another favorite gift ....

from Ally and Robin. Can you see it? Yup, it says "HO".... this gift screams that they are my best friends (among other things .. ).

from Jackson. Nothing completes the bday like a homemade card. With a running girl drawn and my favorite candy from his stash taped to the back. That kid loves me too. His brother ... his name is Eli ... and I don't remember him saying "happy birthday" to me .. but I'm sure he was yelling it ....on the inside.

If I could close my eyes and make a wish ... I'd wish for this day all over again.
