Christmas 2010

Problem with getting behind on my blog is that ... I'm behind. Okay .. that was redundant. Kinda like my life. For instance, Christmas comes every year. Really - EVERY YEAR WITHOUT FAIL. And even though I've got all year to prepare .. it sneaks up on me anyway.

Back to being behind. Not only am I behind .. I've got a horrible memory. So Christmas was like what - two weeks ago ... and already I've forgotten some of the details.

Back up to Christmas Eve. We did something .. but I forgot what. Must have been a real memorable event. Oh wait .. I do recall overcooking the prime rib roast. Damn it - that was actually New Years ... so no, I really don't remember Christmas Eve.

Christmas Day I do recall a bit more detail about that day. It started early. 6:30am early.
Presents were unwrapped ... paper was everywhere ...

Here are the spoiled children with the goods that will make them behave even more poorly ...

and here are my Merry Christmas socks ...

The favorite gifts ...

Jackson (and the neighborhood) played Rock Band for days on end...

Funny side note about this ... Hayley came down to play the drums with them one day and asked Jackson to put in the song they were just playing. Jackson says "oh, you mean Living on a Prairie?" Yes ... I'm sure Bon Jovi was thinking about Laura and her bonnet when he sang that ..

Eli and his Itouch.. he's learned to text. Couldn't be prouder ...

and here's Hayley with her "mom, this is the BEST thing I have EVER bought for myself". Uh-huh .. with some of her Christmas money, she bought ... wait for it .... a deep fryer. Right. A deep fryer. She was seriously giddy about this purchase. Her and the boyfriend went out and got all the ingredients for the first fried food ... crab wontons.
One of the reasons why I love this girl is because I just never EVER know what's gonna come next ...

and I have to add one more to the favorites ... the Kinnect for Xbox. Really .. it's so fun to play. We got Dance Central and Hayley and I danced for hours on it. No controllers ... so cool ...

Here's Hayley and Jacob playing the raft game ...

Christmas was a Merry one. But to tell you the truth ... I'm a whole lot merrier now that it's over ...

Your daughter is on to something. Our deep fryer had brought us many happy days. And many unwanted pounds, but still, happy!
