On what Hayley does during spreak ...

Yes .. I made that word up. Spreak. Spring break... it's shorter... so I am ... and oh so clever.

Anyway .. back to Hayley.

She was invited by her boyfriend - Jacob's family to go with them on a trip to the DC area during spreak this year.

She was also invited by ME to go to our cousin's awesome wedding (ON THE BEACH).

Guess which one she picked? Well ... the biggest hint was that she wasn't in a single picture I posted at the wedding.

So ... they rent an RV and drive clear across the grand United States (without stopping) for this trip. Right .. she went in KNOWING this .. and STILL chose THAT over a wedding.

I'm not bitter.

Oh yeah .. here's who was in the RV. Jacob's two brothers and their wives ... the one brother has two little guys ages 6 months and 2 years. Jacob's sister and Jacob. That's right ... 10 people ... driving 24 hours ALL THE WAY TO DC.

Right .. she went in KNOWING this .. and STILL chose THAT over a wedding.

I'm not bitter.

I did get the phone call about 5 hours from their destination begging to send her back home OR to me on a plane.

Uh- no.

Once she got there ... she had a good time. They did family things. Unfortunately one of those things included an unexpected funeral for the grandmother. That sucked.

But then they also made a trip to Philadelphia .. where she had a blast. They spent a week doing "stuff" and then made the long drive home. The parents rode back in the RV with them (yes .. that equals 12) but there was less sibling fighting homeward bound.

Overall I think she did end up having a good time. (but SURELY it couldn't have been AS fun as a trip to the beach .. I'm just sayin') After the shock and awe wore off. I was pretty sure she and Jacob would have to end their relationship after .. but they are still going strong.

I asked her to take a lot of pictures for me. I got three. Guess that's better than none ....
