My blog posts are kind of like my life lately. Out of order. Behind.
It snowed here. A few weeks ago. So many weeks ago that I can't remember when it happened. But it did. And it wasn't even the "first" one. But it was a heavy one. Kept falling. I like looking at it and all .. it can be beautiful. But not really when it gets in the way of my life. Life meaning ... driving.
Although .. it seems as if the "all weather" tires are a bit better than the "performance" tires I had last winter. (but I did get a new front and rear bumper last season. compliments of insurance)
*side note .. I have tire issues (among other issues). I've had this car for three years and I just put on my third set. My car was pulling hard to the right and I took it in to have the tires checked .. seems as if I have three bent rims. How can I NOT notice this? How can I bend three out of the four and NOT notice that I did that. Know how much rims are? Only $500 each. Yeah .. it's just gonna have to 'pull' for awhile.
So back to snow. It snowed .. a lot. I find it fascinating that the boys embrace it. Love it. Want to touch it. Play in it. Lick it.
They were running .. jumping .. and landing face first. Why don't girls even think to do this? Different brains. That's why.
The two did volunteer to shovel the drive. It was Jackson's idea. Eli joined in .. but then realized he wasn't getting paid so put his shovel down soon after.
Welcome winter (welcome used loosely) ... there will be lots more where this came from ...

Bent rims? What kind of car do you drive? (I'm picturing a Jeep that you randomly take off-road for some reason.) Yeah, rims can be mighty expensive these days. Used to, they were all made of steel and looked pretty much the same, but not anymore. Everyone has aluminum wheels and they are special for your model. I'm hearing Dana Carvey in my head doing his old man skit here, "in my day we didn't have aluminum rims. They were made outta steel and they were heavy and you couldn't bend'em ..."
I remember running and jumped face first into the snow once, showing off for a good-looking girl who lived across the street. That was when I discovered that snow may look all pillowy and all that, but it really does nothing to cushion a fall. I learned this because we were on concrete when I dove in. Yeah, ow. So anyway, she married someone else, apparently realizing I was an idiot. And so did her equally hot sister. This is what diving in snow gets you.
Now the blog feels complete. I mean, c'mon, what's your blog if not the place to come to hear about the dreaded snow! :)
