Road construction...

Again.

I can't even make this stuff up.

He gives me great blogging material.

More randomness.

That I find hilarious.

There is some road construction going on in my neighborhood.  For some reason .. they chose to leave the equipment overnight ... in front of my house.  Bad idea.  They don't know Eli lives here. Obviously.

So I'm making dinner.  And I happen to glance up and look out the window ... at a mini van .. driving by.  It just looked odd.  Then another car drove by.  Again ... what is wrong with them?  I go closer to the window.  To get a better view.  There are orange cones.  In the street.  And the vehicles are driving around them.  In an odd way.  Before I can put anything else together .. here comes Eli bolting across the street with a cone in hand.

He had set up an obstacle course.  Using the cones the workers left.  The cars had no choice but to follow how it's all set up.  Which again .. struck me as funny.  Because coming around the corner .. the cars would already be almost through the course before they realize what's happening.  By that time .. it's too late anyway and they have to keep driving.

Good gracious ... brilliant son.

I was a responsible parent ... only after I got my kicks from my kitchen window ... and told him to put them back.  He did.
