I noticed a neighbor a few houses down had an office chair in pretty good condition on the curb. With the sign that said "free to good home" attached.
I didn't think anything of it .. until I was sitting outside on the porch enjoying the peace when I hear something coming around the corner.
That something was Eli. And a sidekick. With the chair. Riding it.
He didn't know I was watching.
And I wondered if my neighbors thought this was considered a "good home".
They played. And rode. And entertained me. Still not aware that I was silently observing.
Until I see the neighbor come out and yell at him - hey bring that chair back!
Eli says - Oh I thought it was free.
She says ... not for kids.
And he takes it back. And puts the sign back on. Upside down.

She must've really liked the chair, but hoped some impoverished home office worker would come and discover it. That was probably the best day that chair ever had.
