It's time.

I know I say this a LOT but I'm so ready for track to go back on. For whatever reason .. I don't remember three weeks EVER feeling so looooong.

We are half way through week #3. You can tell. The boys can't even be in the same room now. They glance at each other and before I can blink .. they are on top of each other at each other's throats. Jackson even got BIT today. Eli BIT him. I just couldn't believe it. Teeth marks that will leave a nice bruise next week. WHO DOES THAT WHEN THEY'RE 8 YEARS OLD???

They've had enough of each other .. enough of me ... and I have had enough of them.

Hayley was home yesterday so I got to go to my spin class (much needed break). I had my phone on the bike just in case there was an emergency at home (not uncommon). So right in the middle of class .. you know - the part where sweat is dripping off my elbows .. I can hardly breathe and the instructor is saying "come on! go harder!" .. my phone keeps lighting up "home". I let it go until the 8th call. It must be an emergency. Right in the middle of class .. click out and go out in the hall to answer. It was Jackson ...

As I am trying to catch my breath while my heart is thumping out of my chest .. I say lovingly "WHAT DO YOU WANT .... SOMEBODY BETTER BE DYING!"

Jackson "yeah, um, mom .. can you pick me up something for lunch - I'm hungry"

I simply hung up the phone.

5 days 7 hours and 41 minutes. Not that I'm counting..

I used to bite and pinch... I always claimed it was an accident. So we have a saying in my family, "pinching is never and accident." The same can be said for biting. I say go with survival of the fittest.

Oh, I can feel your frustration there. I hope school starts back up soon for your sake!
