Tennis

Shay asked me the other day if I would like to join her and Ally for tennis. YES YES I WILL!! What this means is that it's NICE ENOUGH TO PLAY TENNIS!!

I miss playing tennis. Before Dottie moved .. we played all the time (sigh .. I miss that girl). I haven't picked up the racket since she left.

BUT Wed ... I met my two girls on the court. Brought Sophie so she could run around. I made sure I wore my tennis 'outfit' .. because honestly - I can't play... sooooo .. if I at least LOOK the part - maybe no one will notice that I actually suck. Really bad.

It was so much fun .. despite the wind. Seriously I hate the wind and it was some serious wind. Lately I'm just so done with the wind. It's been miserable. Although, I would take the wind over snow anyday of the week .. so I'll just stop complaining about that now.

We played a few games .. switching on and off. Sophie had a complete blast. She chased every last ball that was dropped. Every last one. No lie. She was clearly tired .. but couldn't stop herself. By the time we left ... she was almost tripping over her tongue.

I don't quite get the scoring of the game ... so the other two took care of that. I also didn't quite get where the ball had to hit inside the lines .. so the other two explained that to me too. I had such a great time ... that silly things like that just didn't matter a whole lot to me.
