I love you for so many reasons. So many I won't be able to name them all. But I will name just a few things that make you ... YOU!
Your sense of style. Skater boy ... athletic. Unique.
You like shoes. (I overheard your conversation with Jenna yesterday. She asked you what she could get you for your birthday ... your response was "Nike shoes").
And clothes. Specific clothes. At 8 years old. Wow. Some favs ...

long basketball shorts
a green Element flat billed hat
Your hair has to be JUST so. In fact, one day you were so excited that they made Ax hair paste .. you gave up getting a toy at Target for that paste.
You like showers. Lots of them. At least twice a day. And Ax shower gel is a must. You come out of that shower every night smelling like a grown man. Days of Johnson and Johnson baby wash smell are gone.
You like sports. We've spent many a night together laying in bed watching the Nuggets games.
You love skateboarding. That's what you wanted for your birthday this year... a "real" skateboard. (yeah, THAT wasn't cheap). You've literally worn three boards out already.
Your favorite food is steak. You chose to eat at Outback for your birthday dinner. You told me at dinner you wanted your steak cooked with the "cow blood coming out".
You have such a tough exterior but with a very tender heart.
I love you Eli. I can't wait to spend many many more birthday's with you.
