Just the very thought.

Okay so I didn't grow up here. I grew up in the south and on the east coast. Totally different world. Many reasons why .. but right now I'll just talk about one. Snow. Seems to be a favorite topic of mine. Not really but there's plenty of it so there should be plenty to talk about it as well. So .. snow. When I was younger and in school, snow wasn't something that came everyday or maybe not even the entire winter season. SO if there was even just the thought of snow .. the entire state shuts down. Honestly, there could be like two flurries and no school for the entire week. As kids we prayed for snow. Who doesn't love a bonus day off?

So living here is so very very different. It snows and life just continues. No blinking of the eye .. everyone is out and about doing what they do every day. Really it amazes to me to watch. The threat of no school because of snow just isn't there. Watching my kids leave the house in boots, gloves, coats and hats to go to the bus stop with a foot of snow on the ground as it's still snowing fascinates me. I know those reading on the east coast know exactly what I am talking about. I had to take a picture of the boys getting on the bus. Amazing. Then as the bus is pulling away, it spins it's wheels, gets the grip it needs and carries on.
Don't you love Jackson's look of disgust over the fact that he is going to school?!

So the thing about the school bus made me laugh... Once in Jr. High our bus couldn't get up the hill to our school so we stopped at the bottom and walked up. And then I was remembering when your van slipped down the driveway. You make me smile.
