16 Random Things

So I love Facebook. It's more like a love/hate relationship. It's so addicting. I love being on seeing what everyone else is up to. Finding lost souls, people who I thought I had lost touch with forever. Meshing with others and their lives .. glimpses into what others do on a daily basis. Venting frustrations. Writing stupid things that I am doing. Bantering with others. It's just a blast. Where does hate play into it? It just sucks me in and before I know it, an hour of my day has been lost. That equates to laundry and dishes piling up. Sometimes dinner doesn't even get made. Guess it's all about self control - something I have yet to perfect.

Over the past two weeks on Facebook, I have been getting 'notes' about other people. A tag, you're it kind of game. So we all know these kind of games as they get passed through email time and time again. I finally took the time this afternoon to complete mine and then tag others. So it's 16-25 random things about yourself. I chose just 16 cause it's really all I have time for. I thought it would be fun to blog it as well. Here goes my 'random' things. Some known, some not. You should try it .. it's fun!

1. My middle name is Poppy
2. I love to eat in bed.
3. I hate mopping floors. Will scrub the toilets any day over mopping.
4. I love to shop. Old Navy, Target, Home Goods and Gap are on the top of the list.
5. I shave my arms. Yeah I know .. especially in the winter cause the little blonde hairs turn dark. Ewww!
6. I could live at the beach. It's my favorite smell.
7. I now drive a mini van when I swore I never would. It's a gold Honda Odyssey - I have to say I do love it.
8. I used to be afraid of mice. Until we went through a period where they almost overtook my house. Hayley and I started to name them ... and they became more like pets.
9. I will NOT watch horror/scary movies. Ever.
10. I love to watch my kids play .. but only when they don't know I'm watching.
11. I drive too fast. I have talked my way out of several tickets. I also haven't been able to talk my way out of several tickets. (the best one was on base and I told him that I was speeding because I was going to be late for Survivor .. he let me off - said he's never heard that one before)
12. Twix bars are my weakness.
13. My feet and hands are always cold. Especially since living here in CO.
14. I still count on my fingers.
15. I never ever ever want one of those memorials you see on the side of the road. Like the cross and fake flowers. Even if I die on that spot.. please, no one EVER do that for/to me!
16. I love Pepto Bismol. The color, the taste, the smell. I used to sneak swigs of it when I was little.
