Halloween 2010

Kinda non-eventful. My kids don't need me anymore. Not really. Hayley worked this night and didn't get home until late. She could care less about Halloween. How did that happen? Well .. I take that back - she bought Sophie a pig costume. Sophie loves it. (that was sarcasm)

The boys ... they were gross nasty scary monster type villains. My brother Josh did come over and paint their faces. Which looked REALLY good. Jackson picked out the Joker and Eli 'jig-saw'. Because I'm such an awesome attentive mom .. I had no clue what 'jig-saw" was. me "how can you be a saw Eli .. that's weird". Eli ... "it's from the horror movie we watched mom". I'm sure it was rated R. I'm sure most parents wouldn't allow an 8 year old to watch that. Yeah .. had I KNOWN ...could have been different. Sure.

(my brother Josh with his awesome face paint skills)

At any rate ... he made a pretty sick 'jig-saw' and Jackson was a sweet Joker. Although .. we had pictures taken early the next morning and Jackson's teeth were yellow from this dye and hair took several shampoo's to get the green all out. Not to mention scrubbing face paint off. Their ears still had white in them the next morning but figured no one's lookin in their ears.

The boys ran out of the house Halloween night to trick or treat and to scare people in the haunted house down the street. No one needed me to walk them door to door. ... So yeah, basically I did nothing but watch football. Could have been any other night.

Except for the fact that my boys brought home about 15 lbs of candy each. My favorite is picking out the good stuff I like. Even better ... they don't mind.

Happy Halloween!!

I'm thinking 'sick' is a good thing...in this case anyways. Love the horrific, scary faces! Who needs a mask when Josh is around?

Yes, the best part about Halloween is definitely eating your kids' candy.
