So ... I've been MIA.
(and yes .. this is what I wore on the plane cross country, by myself in celebration of this very lucky day of mine)
So back to the reason for the flight out...
Sarah's wedding. Talk about PERFECT!!! It was in Palm Coast ... on the beach (I SAID ON THE BEACH!!!! .. and yes that was me yelling it). How extremely thoughtful of Sarah. I mean ... to keep me and my wants and needs on the forefront as she planned her wedding. Surely .. she KNEW how much I LOVE the beach. A million thanks Sarah ...
Her dad .. my Uncle Jeff got us a 3 bedroom villa to stay in. Just me ...my mom and dad .. Uncle Jeff and his girlfriend. This was also perfection....
I mean .. here's the view from our balcony on the right ...
and ... to the left ...
This is what my view looked like the afternoon OF the wedding ...
me and the madre on the beach...
Her wedding began at 5pm that evening. It could NOT have been a more perfect day for a wedding ... slight breeze ... not a cloud in the sky ...
me and mom right behind where the wedding took place. SEE?? GORGEOUS!
The wedding itself was just perfect. Simple .. beautiful ... touching. Sarah was just breathtaking. With her new husband Bryan .. they are seriously a gorgeous couple. The ceremony was simple ... I loved, loved, loved the way they looked at each other. It's love. And it's real. I would have been a basket-case but Sarah looked completely relaxed and comfortable. One of my favorite moments was watching her nod her head in agreement with what the officiant was saying. So stinkin' cute...
And... and ... and ... Kristen, her sister. She was the matron of honor. I caught myself mesmerized by her as well during the ceremony. I kept stealing glimpses of her ... the way she was watching her sister. They are super close ... and it was obvious. You know when you look back at the memories you store during an event? For me ... this moment in time was glancing at Kristen ... and she was crying. But she was smiling while a tear ran down her cheek. It was the neatest thing to be apart of ... so public yet so intimate. The sun was shining on their faces and the tear ACTUALLY glistened on her face. Touching. There are no other words to describe that moment.
The reception afterwards was fun. Dinner was yummy ... dancing was fun .... the cake was beautiful ... AND guess what Sarah also did for me? (I KNOW .. AGAIN she was JUST thinking of ME when planning) ... there was a chocolate fountain... COMPLETE with MARSHMALLOWS to dip. My stomach hurt from multiple trips to that room.
My table. That's sand and shells in the globe. She had sand dollars as name place cards...
My only regret? That I didn't get more pictures ...yeah .. Ms. Brilliant here was so 'into' the wedding ... I didn't even think to get any pics with the bride AND groom. Duh. Not to mention my camera was messed up and took HORRIBLE pictures indoors that night ...
For example ...
with Sarah ...
and with Kristen...
It didn't end there. The next day we all had brunch before everyone left. Again, the food was fabulous. I left looking like I was going to have a food baby. I can't remember the last time I ate SO much.
Some pics of me and the parents before brunch ...
It was definitely what I would call a fairy-tale wedding. Thank you Sarah ... for inviting me to share this day with you. I feel honored ... and grateful.
Happy -the -rest-of-your- life together!!
