Another teenager in da house!

Whelp .. Jman turned 13 on August 5th.

Makes me a parent of two of the creatures.

He is trying his best to live up to a typical teenage way of life.

Stays up as late as humanly possible.

Wakes up as late as humanly possible.

Teases his brother as much as humanly possible.

Plays the xbox until his brain has to be mush.

Even Hayley said to me "what is WRONG with Jackson?  He's become annoying all the sudden"

You were annoying at 13 too, my girl.

Although .. even as a teenager ... he's still an easy going kid.  Pretty easy to please.  Agreeable to most things.  He also has an incredible memory and his ability to focus is over the top.  I envy that.  He's well liked.  I don't worry about him socially or with his school work.  Well balanced kid.  And I can honestly say I've had nothing to do with that.

We had a relaxed birthday for him. He did hint the week before that maybe all he wanted was money.  Makes sense.  Oh-so-casually he mentions how it was pretty cool the way I gave Eli money on his birthday.  Fine son ... I'll take the hint and try to up my game.

Came up with his fav candy and money in a 2 liter bottle.

So Jackson ... he asked for a Costco cake.  Vanilla with vanilla.  Vanilla?  Are you sure?  Yeah mom.  Vanilla.  Okay .. but it's so vanilla.

And really .. ALL I wanted was a picture with my teenage son next to me ... so I could record how tall he is.  Like it's hard to top me or something.  But still.  I don't get why it had to be so difficult.
